Everything was spectacular! My favorites were the fried green tomato salad & Bayou pasta! My husband's was the brisket tacos & gumbo! Our service was by the bartender, we was great & welcoming to us for it being our first time in. It won't be our last! Highly recommend for a date night!
I wish this place was around 10 yrs ago when I was at EMU! Today was my first visit & and hopefully, it won't be the last. The space is inviting with lots of natural light. Their patio looks great for when the weather is nicer. There was an Easter Bunny having the time of their life interacting with customers of all ages! While there seemed to be a nice buffet for Easter, I opted for the shrimp & grits as I've seen they come highly recommended. Folks, they live up to the hype! The grits were smooth, creamy, & cheesey, seasoned perfectly. The tomato jam & tasso ham complimented the grits perfectly. The shrimp were delicious! Not pictured are the beignets we got for the table. Everyone enjoyed them! This is coming from people who have had beignets in New Orleans multiple times. They're in my top 5! Pillowy soft, enjoyed the cinnamon-sugar dusting & I want to know the honey used because it was *chefs kiss* Looking forward to coming back again!
Fabulous atmosphere, PHENOMENAL food. Incredible Southern style dishes, great portions, excellent flavor. Stellar service. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. excellent cocktails!!!
This was our first time dining here and we were blown away by each dish. The gumbo brought me right home to my southern Louisiana Dad's cooking, it was legitimately dynamite. The atmosphere was casual and there was live music playing which we adored. The in house hard cider was delicious. We can't wait to return and try more dishes & drinks.
First time there last night. Sampled a few Rations ...excellent!! My main was grilled steak, collard greens & grits ...WoW! Loved the food, staff and atmosphere! Oh, and Trailblazer IPA with citrus was excellent!!!
Thompson & Co.: Local hype is real. Good vibes, staff's alright, and the food? Actually looks damn good and the menu's got some interesting stuff. Taste-wise, foodies will probably dig it, and the prices won't kill your wallet. Yeah, go check it out.
Let me start by saying we visited this place one hour before they close on a Tuesday night. I was a little skeptical how the service would be that time of night. However, I was pleasantly surprised the service was excellent. Isaac, the host was attentive and checked on us timely. The vibe in the restaurant was great, the decor is on point. Now, let me speak on the food . The food was SO good. Full of flavor and hot. The seasoning blends are superb, I had shrimp and grits he had salmon, red beans and rice. We had an appetizer Brussels sprouts those were the best I’ve had ever. We will be back to try some other of their deliciousness on the menu. The craft beer list is adequate. May try one of their beers next time. But, if you are reading this review and undecided about trying Thompson & Co. I suggest you decide right now to go and try this vibing spot out.
Absolutely incredible experience! Olivia dear, you might be new and in training, but with your smile, attentiveness, timing and demeanor, you are going to be great. I think you already are. The food was spot on. I ordered the biscuits and gravy. I am usually very critical of this particular dish, so I don’t usually order it at lot of places. It was fantastic! I would order it again and I would recommend it to others. I also enjoyed the spring mix. Not many places offer that, especially with breakfast/brunch. The atmosphere was right up my alley. I love the brick, wood and the lights. Great job with the interior design. I don’t hand out the five stars easy, especially in every category, and on a first ever visit. I am more than happy to do it when there was absolutely nothing to improve upon. You definitely have a repeat customer!
